Jiangsu Kexing Engineering Construction Supervision Co. was set up in 1998, which was formerly the Engineering Supervision Department of the Institute established in 1993. The Company, with a registered capital of RMB 5 million, has the Top-Class Credentials for Supervision of Hydraulic Engineering issued by the Ministry of Water Resources, the Top-Class Credentials for Supervision of Waterway Engineering and Highway Engineering issued by the Ministry of Transportation, the Third-Class Credentials for Supervision issued by the Ministry of Construction. In 2000, the Company was issued the Quality Certificate of ISO9001. The Company owns a staff of over 200, with 134 Certified Supervision Engineers approved by the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of Construction.

The Company has the laboratory in the Water Experiment Center of the Institute, equipped with all kinds of test and measurement apparatus, and approved by the competent authorities of the transportation sector. Some particular tests are made in the Engineering Quality Inspection Center of the Ministry of Water Resources, which is stationed in the Institute.

In recent years, the Company has undertaken a lot of supervision projects for water conservancy, water transportation, highway, municipal works and civil engineering, such as the Water Transfer Project of the Min River, the Linhuaigang Flood Control Project, the Huai River Training Project, the Tai Lake Training Project, the South to North Water Transfer Project, the Water Diversion Project of the Baixi Reservoir in Ningbo, the Yazuihe Hydropower Station in Sichuan Province, the Channel Dredging Project of Lianyungang Harbour, the Wharf Project of the Datang Thermal Power Plant in Lusi, the Zaohe Shiplock and Siyang Shiplock in the Great Canal, the Channel Modification Project of the Great Canal, the Hangzhou-Jinhua-Quzhou Highway, the Nantong-Qidong High Way, the Extension Project of the Shanghai-Nanjing Highway, etc. The Company has won several ministerial and provincial awards.

The Company often organizes training of various specialities and supervision training, and exchanging of supervision experiences, as well as professional ethical standard education, to update the knowledge and improve the capability and sense of responsibility of the staff. The quality control is strictly carried out in accordance with the requirement of ISO9001:2000.
