Recently, Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology (JAST) announced the selected projects for 2025 Jiangsu Scientific, Technical and Medical (STM) Journal Excellence Action Program, and China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) the chosen projects for China Scientific, Technical and Medical (STM) Journal Enhancement and Expansion Program. Advances in Water Science sponsored by NHRI and China Ocean Engineering edited by NHRI were selected as the leading journals of Jiangsu STM Journal Excellence Action Program, while Chinese Journal of Geotechnical Engineering edited by NHRI included in China STM Journal Enhancement and Expansion Program.
Organized by JAST, Jiangsu STM Journal Excellence Action Program focuses on seizing the high ground for emerging interdisciplinary fields, strategic frontiers, and common foundational technologies, to cultivate world-class sci-tech journals and support high-level basic research, applied research, and industrial development.
Implemented by CAST, China STM Journal Enhancement and Expansion Program is aligned with the strategic goal of building China into a sci-tech power by 2035, aiming to select and support a group of society-sponsored STM journals with strategic significance for China's future sci-tech innovation and industrial development, high academic standards, and strong growth potential.
Indexed by Chinese and international databases such as Ei, Scopus, CA, CSA, JICST, and CSCD, Advances in Water Science has been awarded multiple prestigious titles, including China Outstanding S&T Journals, China Excellent Academic Journals with International Influence, and China Top 100 Outstanding Academic Journals. It was selected in CAST's Selection Program of Excellent Sci-Tech Papers for six consecutive times, and won the 2nd and 3rd Jiangsu Press and Publication Government Award. The journal was chosen for the Echelon Journal Project of China STM Journal Excellence Action Program twice, respectively in 2019 and 2024, and included in Jiangsu STM Journal Excellence Action Program as a leading journal in 2025.
Indexed by Chinese and international databases such as SCI, Ei, Scopus, and other citation databases, China Ocean Engineering has successively received funding from programs, such as International Influence Enhancement Program for China STM Journals, China STM Journal Excellence Action Program, and Jiangsu STM Journal Excellence Action Program. The journal has been awarded multiple prestigious titles, including China Excellent Academic Journals with International Influence for 13 consecutive years, China Outstanding S&T Journals, East China Outstanding Journals, Jiangsu Top 10 Sci-Tech Journals, and Jiangsu Press and Publication Government Award.
