World Journal Clout Index (WJCI) 2020 STM, newly released by China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), indicates that Chinese Journal of Geotechnical Engineering sponsored by Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute (NHRI) ranks the 30th in the most influential 147 worldwide civil engineering journals and enters into Q1 zone in this field with the highest ranking in Chinese journals, which is the only journal in Chinese in Q1 zone of worldwide civil engineering journals. Chinese Journal of Geotechnical Engineering, providing a platform for worldwide civil engineering academic exchange and service of economic and social development, is China’s contribution to pursuing for world-class journals. Since the centralized management of the journals hosted (sponsored) by NHRI, Chinese Journal of Geotechnical Engineering, keeping aiming at collecting scientific findings and leading disciplinary development, makes its contribution to promoting the development of first-class disciplines and construction of international first-class institution of NHRI. WJCI 2020 STM selects the most important and representative 14287 journals in the world, including 11276 journals in English and 3011 journals in non-English languages, covering 5 first-grade disciplines, 45 second-grade disciplines and 279 third-grade disciplines. 1424 journals in the mainland of China are selected as statistic source journals, among which there are 172 and 345 journals in Q1 and Q2 zones, accounting for 4.6% and 8.1% in Q1 and Q2 zones, respectively.
