On August 28-29, 2019, Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) conducted audit on NHRI’s quality management system (QMS) according to ISO 9001:2015. DAI Jiqun, NHRI Vice President and also its quality management representative, ZHANG Weimin, NHRI Deputy Chief Engineer, and other relevant staff participated in the audit.
Through communications, discussions, on-site inspections and spot checks, the audit team thoroughly reviewed the QMS implementation of eight departments, including Geotechnical Engineering Department, Materials and Structural Engineering Department, Dam Safety Management Department, Rural Water Management Department, Scientific Research Management Department, Finance and Assets Department, Presidents’ Office and Quality Management Office. The team also tracked the problems found in the last annual audit, and gave feedbacks to Vice President DAI.
The audit team commented that NHRI had attached great importance to its QMS, and the quality targets been achieved at all levels. The NHRI QMS built under the requirements of ISO9001:2015 has been continuously effective and successfully passed the audit. At the same time, the team put forward suggestions on internal and external environment identification, risk analysis and quality target process planning, etc.
Vice President DAI pointed out at the last meeting of the audit that all departments should strictly follow the audit team’s opinions and suggestions, seriously rectify the problems found during the audit, continuously improve the QMS, and give full play to the supporting role of the QMS to promote NHRI’s research management level and guarantee the quality of its scientific achievements.
