Prof. Guoqing WANG Participating in the Second Working Meeting of WMO-HydroSOS at Invitation

Invited and financially supported by World Meteorological Organization (WMO), Prof. Guoqing WANG, Deputy Chief Engineer of Research Center for Climate Change, Ministry of Water Resources (MWR-RCCC), stationed at NHRI, participated in the Second Working Meeting of WMO Global Hydrological Status and Outlook System (WMO-HydroSOS) during Apr. 4-6 2018, which was held by UK Center for Ecology and Hydrology (CEH) in Wallingford, UK. 10 Work Packages (WPs) are designed within WMO-HydroSOS. Team leaders of WPs are from United States Geological Survey (USGS), Australian Bureau of Meteorology (ABM), Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI), Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute (NHRI), UK CEH, etc. The activities and deliverables of each WP were discussed and confirmed in the meeting. Prof. Guoqing WANG, team leader of WP2 Data Sources and Exchange Methods, is responsible for the coordination of data sharing and exchange among various WPs, and involved in the WP Methods Development for Water Status Evaluation and Forecasting as well.
