Visit to Hechangzhou physical model

On Feb. 28, 2017, a delegation of Nanjing Yangtze River Deepwater Channel Construction Headquarters led by Commander REN Jianhua, composed of Deputy Commander FANG Jianhua and directors with the Headquarters office, supervision department and scientific research department visited NHRI.

NHRI President ZHANG Jianyun, Vice President SUN Jinhua and Chief Engineer DOU Xiping met with the delegation and had a meeting. President ZHANG reviewed the long-term cooperation between the two parties, and indicated that NHRI would reinforce the science and technology innovation cooperation with the Headquarters and refine the innovative findings based on tackling key technical difficulties of engineering. NHRI will play a more active role of science and technology support in the next phase project argument and construction. Meanwhile, NHRI will give full support to the Headquarters in the aspect of talent cultivation and utilization. Besides, President ZHANG gave suggestions to deepening and expanding the bilateral cooperation.

Commander REN Jianhua introduced the construction and operation of the deep waterway project of the Yangtze River Reach downstream from Nanjing, and expressed his gratitude to NHRI’s science and technology support in the meeting. He wished the two parties would further enhance the cooperation so as to make greater contributions to the project construction.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the physical modelling of the Hechangzhou Reach. Directors with NHRI Departments of River and Harbor Engineering and Scientific Research Management, President’s Office, and Nanjing R&D Tech Group Co., Ltd. attended the meeting and accompanied the visit.
