Lab Tour at Tiexinqiao Water Experiment Center, NHRI

On April 29, a delegation of 18 people led by Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Nga, Director of Disaster Management Policy and Technology Center (DMPTC), Vietnam Disaster and Dyke Management Authority, visited NHRI for technical exchange. Mr. GAO Changsheng, Vice President of NHRI, delivered a speech at the technical exchange meeting.

Vice President GAO extended a warm welcome to the Vietnamese delegation. He reviewed the cooperation achievements between NHRI and relevant Vietnamese institutions in areas such as dyke safety management, green hydropower development, climate change response, and joint training of water resources professionals. Director Bui Thi Quynh Nga expressed gratitude for the warm reception and introduced the basic profile of DMPTC, as well as the visit purpose and potential cooperation.

In-depth discussions were held on topics including dyke safety management, engineering hazard detection, disaster monitoring technology, and climate change impacts on engineering safety. Both sides unanimously agreed that they should fully leverage their respective strengths, further establish a long-term cooperation mechanism, and continuously deepen exchanges and collaboration through joint research, talent training, and academic exchanges.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the Tiexinqiao Water Experiment Center, NHRI.

Relevant departmental heads and experts from NHRI participated in the technical exchange.
