A delegation of three water experts from Economic, Transportation and Energy Center of Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland visited MWR Dam Safety Management Center (DSMC) from April 24 to 27, 2017. DSMC held an embankment dam safety seminar to exchange laws, regulations, and management system and surveillance technologies with Finnish experts.

Similar to China, embankment reservoir dams are most popular in Finland. The topic of efficient safety supervision of reservoir dams is the common interest and key theme for future cooperation between China and Finland. The two sides are looking forward to further in-depth cooperation and exchanges to share new concepts, new technologies and practical experiences. 

During the visit, the Finnish and Chinese dam safety experts also visited three embankment reservoir dams in Jiangsu Province.
