Operation Test of Sewage and Sludge Treatment Facilities

Demonstration of Treatment Results

NHRI vice Presidents, Prof. CHEN Shengshui and Prof. DAI Jiqun, deputy Director of Nanjing Water Bureau, ZHANG Zhiqiang, and leaders and experts from other relevant municipal departments successively inspected the test site of Dewatering of Riverbed Sludge and Sewage Treatment of Urban Black and Smelly Rivers in recent days, located at Xiafuqiao, Nanjing City. The test is conducted by Nanjing R&D High Tech Group Co., Ltd.

With the help of water environment regulation and construction site of the south section of the Inner Qinhuai River, Nanjing, the test is the one of new equipment and technology. The test items majorly include the tests of sludge dewatering of urban black and smelly rivers and sewage advanced treatment for high standard. Through test research, an effective and reliable novel procedure and equipment for sludge dewatering and sewage treatment could be developed to form a new technology of upgrading water quality and rehabilitating water environment. The majority of site tests have been accomplished recently with breakthrough technical findings achieved.

Nanjing R&D High Tech Group Co., Ltd.is a platform to transform the research findings of NHRI. Currently, the company has jointly undertaken the relevant work of Water Quality Upgrading in G20 Core Area of Hangzhou City with NHRI. Sludge and sewage treatment projects in Shenzhen, Nanjing, Nantong, Yichang, Dongguang, etc. are under negotiation.

During inspection, leaders and experts affirmed the significance and staged achievements of the test, and deemed that test findings could be directly applied to relevant engineering construction to improve the quality of sludge and sewage treatment and reduce the comprehensive cost of river treatment. Meanwhile, they put forward some precious suggestions on test details and higher requirements on test data acquisition and analysis, and hoped the company and its innovative team could invest more for extraction of new technology and better publicity.
