Prof. CHEN Qiuwen Appointed as Associate Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Ecohydraulics
Post Time:2015-12-08Front:[ Large Medium Small ]

At the invitation of Prof. Paul Kemp, NHRI Prof. CHEN Qiuwen recently joined in the editorial board of Journal of Ecohydraulics, a new international scientific journal initiated by the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR). The journal will be published by Taylor & Francis Group with the first issue in fall 2016.

The two editors-in-chief of Journal of Ecohydraulics are Prof. Christos Katopodis from Canada and Prof. Paul Kemp from UK. Besides Prof. CHEN, other seven members of the editorial board are from USA (3 experts), UK (3 experts) and France (1 expert), respectively.

Journal of Ecohydraulics is intended to highlight the researches in the ecological water field, including hydraulics, ecology, environmental science, geosciences, and other related disciplines. The essence of this journal is to advance multidisciplinary research and interdisciplinary research with topics of species-habitat correlation, biota movements in aquatic environment, e-flows (i.e. environmental, instream or ecological flows), mitigation measures (such as biota passageways, fishways, and habitat improvement or replacement), ecosystem restoration (including removal of dams and other water infrastructure), and aquatic ecosystem health assessment.

Besides being a member of the new journal editorial board, Prof. CHEN continues to serve as an associate editor-in-chief of Ecological Informatics (SCI journal), which will be in favor of enhancing the communication and knowledge exchange between researchers from relevant Chinese institutions and international experts in related research fields. NHRI researchers are encouraged to submit their papers to the above-mentioned journals.
